Robolinux 10.6 arrives preparing for the end of Windows 7 support

robolinux 10.6

Many Linux users know that we can run many Windows applications without using the native Microsoft operating system. We know Wine, PlayOnLinux, VirtualBox… But not all of us have the same knowledge. For that reason there are distributions like one that has just released a new version. That distribution has a robot name and the version it has released is robolinux 10.6.

As we explain in our article RoboLinux: the distro that can run software for Windows, Robolinux is a Linux distribution for inexperienced users from which we can create Microsoft system virtual machines by making a few clicks. In addition, it has default software installed that will help us run Windows files, but it is not the best option for experienced users who know how to achieve all this separately and on our own.

What's new in Robolinux 10.6

  • Screen sharing will be offered to support new users.
  • All versions have new kernel versions, which improves support and security.
  • Updated apps.
  • Possibility of installing the Brave browser from its installers, which is linked to:
    • Invisible Internet Project (I2P).
    • TorBrowser.
    • Tor chat.
    • Clam OFF.
    • Steam.
    • Wireshark.
    • Google Earth Pro.
    • OperaBrowser.
    • Google Chrome.
  • Common performance improvements.

In addition, to prepare for this large number of new Linux users, we have made sure that our five versions of the Series 10: Cinnamon, Mate 3D, Xfce, LXDE and Gnome are as robust as possible with new kernels, hardware drivers, and more than five hundred security + application updates. VirtualBox has been updated to version 5.2.34 and we added the private Brave browser to our free app installers.

Robolinux 10.6 is available from this link in Cinnamon, MATE 3D, LXDE, XFCE and GNOME versions. Existing users can install the new version from the update tool available from the same operating system.
