How to Live Aligned with we advanced On Sunday, we were soon going to have a new stable version of this distro, but it wouldn't be made full in the KDE edition. manjaro 2022-07-12 brings many news for users of the K flavor, in fact their applications and their framework have been updated, but more importantly, the graphical environment, has been updated "only" to Plasma 5.24.6. It's the sixth maintenance update in the 5.24 series, but it doesn't go up to a 5.25 which they seem to reserve for the Manjaro 22.0 release headline.
The desktop that they have updated to the latest version has been the most used in Linux, and Manjaro 2022-07-12 includes GNOME 42.3. What is curious is that there is more talk of an edition that, in the list of novelties, is the one that appears the most, and it does so due to the absence of Plasma 5.25. Phil says that (5.25) is a “feature release”, and that not all members have given the green light. He also says that he will arrive with the aforementioned Manjaro 22.0 which will be released in mid-August or September, too late for a distro like this if there aren't gross bugs in some software. In fact, there are users who say that they are on Cinnamon 5.4.2, it is full of bugs and they did upload that one.

Manjaro 2022-07-12 is a new stable version, i.e. many new packages appearing in Pamac (header image) or when updating with pacman. The new images arrive at other times, as is being demonstrated these days by mentioning both Manjaro 22.0 due to the absence of Plasma 5.25. Users of any official or community release who really want the latest faster should use the Unstable branch, which is no more "unstable" than Arch Linux; Manjaro gives it that name because it gets updated very quickly and is tested less than Testing and Stable. In any case, Manjaro 2022-07-12 is already here.
But the Cinnamon edition is community... Lately I've been taking care of program updates from the community repositories because once it happened to me that a dependency of a program needed to be installed from the AUR... Apparently some Manjaro community members who contribute to the community repository believe that Manjaro is Arch and, therefore, that there will be no problems if they rely on AUR.
That really is very unprofessional, because apart from the fact that Manjaro is not Arch, the AUR is not officially supported by Arch Linux, nor supervised by its developers, the wiki warns of the risks of its use especially when it comes to AUR Helpers.
That is why I would recommend denouncing this problem energetically.
