Although three weeks have passed since the arrival of Wine 4.17 instead of the two weeks that usually go by, Wine 4.18 it's here and even though it doesn't have many new features, there are more than a dozen fixes.
Wine 4.18 doesn't seem to be so new as to warrant a week-long delay, but it seems the delay is due to the Wine developer conference last week, Wine Conference 2019, took place in Toronto, keeping the team busy.
New features in Wine 4.18 include new VBScript features, Apple macOS Quartz code cleanup and enhancements, and fixes for various testing bugs.
On the arrangements side, 38 changes are released for Wine 4.18 including fixes in games like The Witcher 2, Lego: Stunt Rally, Lego Island 2, World of Warcraft, Halo 2, and Need for Speed: Carbon.
The list of changes in Wine 4.18 can be seen in the Official Site, the update is now available and will soon reach the official repositories of the different Linux distributions.
The next major update, Wine 5.0, will arrive early next year.
