A few days ago, Ubuntu users who prefer their App Center (the Snap Store) and whether this is the store you have in your Dock, you could see how its logo changed. It was a mystery, and the only thing out there was a post on the Ubuntu forum with a temporary solution. Although I liked it more, it must be said, it is true that it is not as consistent with the rest of the icons, but everything will return to normal.
To Joey Sneddon from OMG! Ubuntu! He didn't like the icon as much as I did. For that reason, went to see what had happened and discovered that it was just a bug. It doesn't take much to find this information, at least at the time of writing this article. If we go to the GitHub page From the Ubuntu Application Center, we see that at the top, the last request that has been made is to delete the previous icon and recover the usual one.

Why this has happened is less clear. It's a new icon with a new design, not something that caused the regular icon to look different. This makes you think. You are probably thinking about changing the icon design of the Ubuntu Application Center and this was just one of the possibilities. If it was added accidentally, the official software store is a snap package, so it updates without warning and whatever is newer.
But the truth is that the usual icon will return, and that will be a relief for those who missed it.
