Canonical uploads a new ISO of Ubuntu 23.10 with the translation problem already corrected

Ubuntu 23.10 clean of bad translations

Not everything was laughter and happiness after the launch of the latest version of Canonical's operating system. Shortly after delivering to the public Ubuntu 23.10 they discovered that some third-party developer, totally unrelated to the original project, had had fun adding translations that had nothing to do with what they should be. At first "hate speech" was mentioned, and when you do a little research and see some of the texts you can see that it is true and that it was not exaggerated.

Canonical had no choice but to delete those images and get to work uploading others without this problem. The Affected versions were only Ubuntu (Desktop and Daily) and Ubuntu Budgie, in all cases in the versions that already use the new installer. From late Thursday in Spain until a few moments ago, what could be downloaded was the version with the installer that now bears the "Legacy" label, which does not look good at all because it gives the impression that a outdated Ubuntu version.

Ubuntu 23.10 with the new installer, now available

It is logical to think that the operating system was also affected, but this is not the case. Anyone who has already installed Ubuntu or Ubuntu Budgie with the "verbally contaminated" installer should rest assured that what they have on their computer is the system as it should. He malicious user only edited the installer texts of some languages, among which I remember Ukrainian was.

Without a doubt this has been motivated by political issues, so we should not pay more attention than we should. For my part, I just want to inform you that the new Ubuntu 23.10 ISO with the normal installer (the new one) is now available and can be downloaded from this link. Ubuntu Budgie has not yet announced the availability of the new image or uploaded it to its servers.
