You can now download the beta of Linux Mint 19.3 "Tricia", but the launch will be official tomorrow

Linux Mint 19.3 Beta

It was all very fast. Yesterday, Clement Lefebvre published December's newsletter on the operating system it develops. At the entrance it gives little information, but it does advance something important: tomorrow Tuesday it will be launched Linux Mint 19.3 BETA. In about 24 hours, the launch of the trial version will be official but, as usual, we already have news about an unofficial launch that, in his words, has the team very excited.

The Lefebvre team says the excitement is being felt because the Linux Mint 19 series is already about two years old and already pretty polished. In addition, it is likely that they also have that emotion because there will be something new that they did not mention in the information note published yesterday. The good thing is that anyone who wants to find out on their own what news they have not mentioned and will be present, can try: ISO images are now available.

Linux Mint 19.3 BETA will be official tomorrow

You probably know that we are targeting a Christmas release this year? All 3 editions of Linux Mint 19.3 passed QA and we will announce the BETA release on Tuesday! We are really excited about this release. The 19.x series is two years old and feels very polished. There are cool features in 19.3 that we haven't talked about on the blog yet. The software selection changed and three new applications are entering. The artwork is brand new and makes 19.3 feel really fresh.

This uploading the software ahead of time is common. To avoid surprises, many companies prepare everything some day in advance, and that is something that the Linux Mint team has done again. Keep in mind that the release is not yet official, but if we think that it is a non-stable release, I think it is not necessary to wait for tomorrow if we want to test the beta of Linux Mint 19.3 "Tricia". If this is your case, you can download the Cinnamon, MATE and XFCE versions in 32-bit and 64-bit from this link. The launch of the stable version will arrive in the Christmas holidays. Can you wait?
