For those unaware of Retro Pie, they should know that this is a well known video game emulation platform by fans of retro games, as it offers a wide variety of configuration tools to customize the system as desired.
Basically RetroPie is an application that allows you to transform a Raspberry Pi, an ODroid C1 / C2 or a PC into a retroplay machine.
RetroPie is based on Raspbian, EmulationStation, RetroArch, as well as several other projects so that you can run home console games and classic PC games with minimal setup.

We can also find the improvements included in the RetroPie system and the RetroPie-Setup base code so that you remember the stage of the package.
RetroPie 4.6 will also only update those binary files where a new one is available and will no longer overwrite the source installations during updates.
RetroArch gets an update to 1.8.5 with a new notification system, "real CD-ROM" game support with the ability to dump a disc image, an improved disc control system with the ability to label discs in .m3u files, and RetroAchievements support for the original PlayStation , Sega CD and PCEngine CD.
On the other hand, we can find improvements in EmulationStation which has been updated to version 2.9.1 and includes Scraper fixes for TheGameDBNet, Grid view and theme improvements, and new options to disable system name in custom collections and save player list metadata after each change.
RetroPie 4.6 also updates a multitude of emulators to the latest versions, including those from Commodore Amiga, Atari 2600, Atari 800 and 5200, and ScummVM, the amazing engine emulator for running LucasArts graphics games and other studios from the 80s and 90s.

Installation
Installation of the image on a Raspberry Pi 3 or 4 works exactly the same as installing any of the other operating systems available for our device, since we just have to flash an IMG.XZ file to a Micro SD card.
