This is the new Guadalinex Edu v9 desktop
We all know to some extent the school operating system of the Andalucía Guadalinex Edu board, and we all have our opinion about it. But today we are going to focus on the new arrivals of its last version.
New arrivals
- The most outstanding novelty, without a doubt, is an improved and organized visual appearance.
- Includes New applications y updates many that were already in its previous version.
How can we check not a very big system update, rather changes in its graphic section.
Requirements
La RAM required to install this new version is 1 Gb, so the computers that the Junta de Andalucía gave prior to the course 2007-2008 they will not be able to benefit of the new operating system.
Guadalinex edu has achieved put old computers to use with its new version, taking the best of large distributions such as Debian, LinuxMint and Ubuntu. Definitely It is a great achievement, because in many centers, computers are old and students can benefit from the latest operating system without the center having to make a very expensive outlay.
Pet
We all know pets that guadalinex associates with each version, these being:

Guadalinex Edu has nothing to do with Guadalinex. They are developed by different Ministries and Organisms. Guadalinex Edu 2013 is the third version of Guadalinex Edu. It is not based on Linux Mint, but on Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin switching to Unity for Gnome Classic.
