Yesterday afternoon, at a official blog post, it was announced start of Ubuntu Free Culture Showcase, an event that aims to find the wallpapers and multimedia files that will dress Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver.
Ubuntu 18.04 is an LTS (Long Term Support) version, which means that it will receive updates and support for at least 5 years from its release, which is why this event is so important.
Apart from looking for the wallpaper (s) that the system will have by default, audio and video files are also searched which are placed as an example within the system.
Nathan Haines, creator of the publication and very active member of the Ubuntu team, mentions that LTS versions install ten times more than interim versions combinedTherefore, it recommends that artists interested in participating use their best work.
