Steam game festival it has finished its last edition in October. What began as a Valve initiative has been repeated year after year due to its success, and even with several annual editions. This event already has a date to "live" it online and bring developers and gamers closer to their demos so that they can try out what's new in the gaming world.
The Steamworks Group has announced the date of the next Steam Games Festival, and will begin on February 3th 2021. That is the date you should mark on your calendar. Also, it will not be as fleeting as you think, since it will last until February 9. A few great days of guaranteed digital fun that you can't miss.
For developers, The deadline for submitting the demos of their work will be December 2, 2020 at 11:59 PM until December 3, 2020 at 7:59 AM UTC. And new video games presented outside of that date will not be accepted.
In addition, to be able to present their work, developers must adhere to the established rules by Valve for the Steam Game Festival:
- Have an active Steamworks developer account.
- Have a video game on Steam with a release date set between February 10, 2021 and September 1, 2021.
- Have a publicly visible web page (Coming Soon) at the time of voluntary inclusion.
- Have a playable public demonstration ready by the time the festival begins.
- And that the title in question has only participated in one Steam Game Festival (fall 2020, February 2021, or June 2021).
Developers have no limitations to launch demos when they see fit in a normal way, although they will not have the support that they will enjoy with the Steam Game Festival event.
