Today the news about the new update has been released of the Gentoo-based distribution Calculate Linux which is renewed to its version 17.12.2 with which it updates several packages and above all it corrects several errors.
Calculate Linux is designed to be used by both the common user, with the ability to use Portage, but avoiding having to compile the kernel, graphical environment, and so on yourself, tAlso so that it can be used at corporate level or also on servers.
Within 4 variants with which we find in Calculate Linux are:
- Calculate Directory Server - Corporate server.
- Calculate Linux Desktop. Which has the following environments; KDE, XFCE, Cinnamon and MATE.
- Calculate Media Center- for the creation of Media Centers.
- Calculate Linux Scratch - Minimalist version only has basic packages.
In which we find the following characteristics:
- Client-server solution completed.
- Quick installation in the company.
- It works in heterogeneous networks.
- Domain Server is compatible with Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7 clients.
- Rolling-release model of binary updates.
