Surely you know programs like Notability, OneNote, etc., but maybe you don't know the Xournalpp project. An app with which you can take notes by hand to transcribe your notes into digital format in a very simple way. Something especially practical to take notes in class, or to write any text if you are not good at typing.
Xournalpp (or Xournal ++) is from open source, free and free. It is written in C ++, based on Xournal (C code). In fact, its name comes from merging the words Xournal as C Plus Plus. Regardless of its etymology, it is a great program that can be very practical for you, and that you can install on your favorite GNU / Linux distro, since it is multiplatform.
With the arrival of the pandemic the way things were done before has changed. It has especially changed in the way we interact, in the promotion of telework, or in distance education. Therefore, Xournalpp could be a good utility for these times. For example:
- It could help you to do without paper documents by writing on a digital tablet to convert the text to a digital document, saving paper and respecting the environment.
- You could take notes in a comfortable way without using the keyboard, totally by hand and then be able to edit it in any editing program and have all your study documents organized, share them, etc.
- You can even use it to take notes on your work and pass them in digital format to avoid passing paper notes and respect safety distances.
The truth is that the utilities that you can think of are the most varied. You decide what for! And Xournalpp gives you the technology for how ...
Of course, you will need additional hardwareAs are tablets, but there are extremely cheap ones. So it will not involve too much investment. For example, there are some Wacoms for about € 40.
