Budgie Remix became a official distribution since its first version changing its name to Ubuntu Budgie.

The developers mention that Ubuntu Remix 16.04 had a quarter of a million downloads since its release.

Upgrade now to Ubuntu Budgie 18.04.1 LTS

Those responsible for Ubuntu Budgie recommend that users who still have Budgie Remix 16.04 on their PC prepare for an update to the next Ubuntu Budgie 18.04.1 LTS with an arrival date of July 26, a week before support for Budgie Remix 16.04 ends.

An update message will be sent to Budgie Remix 16.04 users in July, when the next version is released, in this way it can be updated very easily and quickly. All users wanting to update have to do is press the install button to finish the process.
