Northgard is a fantastic video game that you will find in the famous Valve store, Steam. As promised and announced on LxA, it is now available for Linux, so a new title to add to the list of video games available for our distro. Shiro Games has kept its word and in addition the video game will also meet the expectations that we expect from a strategy video game like this.
They seem to have had some initial launch issues, but It has arrived and I suppose they will refine it even more as time goes by. Some who have already tried it have had quite positive comments, but what seems to be causing some problems is when running it on certain GNU/Linux distributions, since we may find that certain packages are needed to be able to launch it. Those packages are the wayland graphics server, wayland-egl, and the libbsd library. Certainly that is not too big a problem, they are installed and that's it, many other packages also have their dependencies that must be satisfied... It is not the end of the world. But not only are the comments of the gamers, since many are also reporting that they cannot play multiplayer because they need the key «466560» within the steam_appid.txt file, so we will have to add it with a text editor or with a simple echo.
Once the game is running with those initial problems that I suppose its developers will fix soon, we can see the missions and get to play.
