LibreELEC 8.2.2 "Krypton" has been released with support for 3D movies

LibreELEC

It's here FreeELEC 8.2.2 codenamed Krypton and comes with interesting improvements that we will now discuss. If you do not know the LibreELEC project yet, say that it is a Linux-based operating system to implement a complete multimedia center for your computer or for your Raspberry Pi and have a cheap and more than decent media center. It is the acronym for Libre Embedded Linux Entertainment Center and makes use of the famous Kodi. If you are interested in this alternative you can get it at the official website of the project.

The new LibreELEC 8.2.2 Krypton update corrects a critical error from previous versions, so it would be interesting to immediately update it if you already have a system with a previous version. This is the second maintenance release of the 8.2 Krypton branch and is based on the code from Kodi 17 Krypton, hence its name. It comes just a month after version 8.2.1 that also had some improvements and bugs fixed, but this one has fixed the bug in the ffmpeg backend that made it not work correctly.

Specifically improves ffmpeg multimedia backend that prevented users from enjoying the content of 3d movies. So now you can see this type of three-dimensional movies without problem. So if you suffered from that problem, you can now solve it with this new update released. The developers recommend that those who have a previous version use the manual method of updating the LibreELEC system to get this update, which is available in the configuration plug-in of the system.

But that has not been the only improvement that has been added, as usual, some corrections or changes always overshadow the rest due to their relevance, and in this case we also have other minor changes and support for RF remote control second-generation OSMC, etc. On the other hand, the included packages have not been updated, nor have the drivers for this LibreELEC 8.2.2 version been updated.

Does it do the same as Kodi and could you replace it in Mint for example? because it no longer works as before, it has too many errors
