The Emmabuntüs Collective unveiled recently released the new version of Emmabuntüs Debian Update Edition 3 1.02 which comes three months after version 3 1.01 and with availability for both 32-bit and 64-bit. This new update version comes based on Debian 10.4 Buster and offers the Xfce and LXQt desktop environments.
This version mainly replicates the improvements developed in version 4, as well as the implementation of the VeraCrypt utility to encrypt files, partitions or entire disks on the fly
For those who do not know about this Linux distribution yet, I will tell you that Emmabuntüs is based on to two Linux distributions one that is Ubuntu and the other that is Debian, with which it tries to be an intuitive distribution with the beginner and also to be a light distribution in resources such that it can be used in old computers,
In the case of Ubuntu, Emmabuntüs is based on LTS versions. and it is usually updated each time its support ends, such is the case that the most current version is based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS that still has support.

In The Emmabuntüs Collective's release announcement, these mention that this new update the distribution takes up the improvements of the Emmabuntüs DE4, in particular when natively replacing the LXDE environment in ISO with LXQt.
This highlights that this environment does not require an additional post-installation step.other than they have added the Falkon browser, allowing the system to run on just 1GB of RAM.
In addition, they mention that in the new version it worked to remove some outdated software and do a bit of cleaning in less useful and duplicative software.
As well added some small utilities, such as the inxi / inxi-gui font manager and others to facilitate the use of the distribution. What's more we can find the VeraCrypt utility to encrypt files, partitions or entire disks on the fly, the GtkHash utility to create checksums for your ISO files and images, SMTube to watch and download YouTub videose, mediainfo-gui and mdadm tools.
The applications RadioTray-NG, Vokoscreen, gThumb and KeePassXC they are also present in this release, but to replace their older, maintenance-free equivalents, including RadioTray, Kazam, Nomacs, and KeePassX software. What's more, The Picasa and Surf applications have been removed.

Finally, they mention that all scripts have been improved and completed to allow parallel use of the two desktop environments Xfce and LXQt.
