Cinnamon 4.0 will be more compatible with Nvidia cards

Not long ago we received the new version of Linux Min 19 Tara, a new version of one of the most popular Gnu / Linux distributions in the GNU world. And this prompts the Linux Mint team to develop other projects in the Linux Mint ecosystem. So, the next project to update will be Cinnamon, the standard desktop of the distribution.

The next version will be Cinnamon 4.0, a version that will focus on two goals: be faster and be more compatible with Nvidia cards. In the latest versions of Cinnamon it has been detected that in certain animations and moments, desktop creates graphics garbage due to use of standard graphics card driver. This occurs with computers with Nvidia and other minority graphics cards.

So now the Cinnamon team will be dedicated to testing and developing with different resolutions, computers and graphics cards in order to stop Cinnamon 4.0 from making those "graphic scraps". On the other hand, it is intended remove certain elements of Cinnamon that cause a lag in desktop performance and thus makes the desktop slower than other desktops in the Gnu / Linux world.

The Cinnamon team has been focused for months on making their desktop lighter and faster, something they are slowly accomplishing. That is why it is interesting that they announce this, because surely these two objectives will be achieved.

Clement Lefebvre has also communicated the next release of LMDE 3.0, the rolling release version of Linux Mint that is not based on Ubuntu but is based on Debian. This new version will come out at the end of this week or the next, its exact date is still unknown but we do know that it is almost ready for its release.

Linux Mint is a very popular distribution oriented to the new user, something that perfectly fulfills. And the most striking thing is that its modest development team does not make big changes, but they do make changes little by little. Cinnamon 4.0 cannot be obtained yet, but we can have Linux Mint and Cinnamon 3.8, the last stable version of this desktop.

It's great, but what date are we talking about? This putting articles without a date is very misleading, I do not know if it is already updated two years ago or will be soon.
