Cepsa, the well-known Spanish oil company founded in 1929, is also technologically strengthened by using Linux. And it does so using the platform red hat containers, thus obtaining new experiences and digital functionalities for its clients. Something quite common among modern companies that see how new technologies are increasingly necessary to renew themselves.

La Spanish energy company collaborates with Red Hat for greater speed, scalability and efficiency to adapt to the new world we live in, where rapid change and competitive environments are the bread and butter. If you do not know how to adapt to the needs and demands of customers, the financial and trust losses could be a disaster for the company. That is why you have to make this type of technological alliance.

Cepsa thus remembers its digital transformation strategy helping to create and offer digital services to consumers faster, as well as helping them within a constantly evolving and changing market. To do this, Cepsa has created a hybrid cloud-ready platform with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, backed by Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage and automated thanks to Red Hat Ansible Tower, allowing the launch of apps much faster.

It is a multinational project involving diverse teams, and Cepsa is willing to promote closer collaboration and adopt a DevOps methodology. Own Julie Bernal, that we were lucky to interview in LxA, has commented on this alliance: «Cepsa is betting on digitization to be able to deal more dynamically with changes in consumer habits and needs. We are delighted to help Cepsa benefit from open community innovation coupled with the increased security and reliability that Red Hat's enterprise open source technology offers.«
