Stage 9: a free Star Trek universe made by fans

Stage 9 Ship

You've probably heard of Stage 9, a project created by fans and free in which it is intended to recreate the universe both inside and outside of everything we love about the Star Trek saga by using the Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine. Therefore, reconfigure your phasers and have fun getting into the universe of Enterprise-D from Star Trek exploring it thanks to the graphic power of this engine that we have mentioned.

Some rumors have sparked interest in Star Trek online, such as the news about a possible return of Sir Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard in a new series. And if you want to get rid of the bug or nostalgia that you feel, I recommend Stage 9 that will allow you to explore the ship Enterprise-D from Star Trek The Next Generation (TNG). With Unreal Engine 4, everyone working on this project intends to recreate the entire ship and also the exterior.

I know that this is not the only project based on Unreal Engine 4 for Linux, but if you want a curious fact I will tell you that it seems that the Linux version Stage 9 has more popularity and users than MacOS, something that is not very common, but I think it is good news. So I encourage you to be another user who is already enjoying this sci-fi universe that many already enjoy in their GNU / Linux distros.

For more information you can go to the official project website, to find all the extra information you need to get started. And if you want to install it in your Linux distro, you can do it easily downloading from here the package with the Linux version. Once downloaded, you just have to unpack the file and then look for an installation script that you will have to execute and that is called Stage9Linux.sh, when executing it the rest will be done automatically.

Could you put a link to everything you mention in the article? In this and all that you write. Come on, that would be to cite the original sources. Thanks.
