Some Ubuntu 19.04 icons were redesigned and support for third-party application icons was improved.

In the early hours of Friday but still on Thursday in part of the world, Canonical and the rest of the developer teams made available to us the first beta of Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo. Although the company that runs Mark Shuttleworth has not yet released a statement, the downloads are now available and both Ubuntu MATE and Ubuntu Budgie have posted it via Twitter.

From now on, both users and developers can test an official beta, leaving the Daily Build behind that have been published for weeks. The "beta" label means that it is stable enough for any user to test, but the latest settings are still missing. Anyone who installs it will receive updates from time to time, so much so that we can spend the day updating parts of the operating system.

Ubuntu 19.04 will arrive with Linux Kernel 5

The official launch of Ubuntu 19.04 will take place on Thursday April 18 and it will be a version that will enjoy a support of 9 months (6 until the new version and 3 more for what may happen). The most outstanding novelty that will come to Ubuntu and all its flavors will be the Linux Kernel 5, the new version of the kernel that will be even more compatible with all types of hardware and will fix many bugs. For everything else, all the flavors will arrive with new versions of their graphical environment, as well as updated applications.

Ubuntu 19.04 seems like a minor release, as we can read in this article. Some of the news that they wanted to include have not arrived in time, so the new will be rather little with respect to Ubuntu 18.10. You can download Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo from this link and the rest of the flavors you have below. If you try any, do not hesitate to comment on your experiences.
