Ubuntu contributor Didier Roche announced a couple of days ago the name and plans for the community theme that is being prepared for the upcoming Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic Cuttlefish.
As you probably know, Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic Cuttlefish will have a new theme and icons by default in clean facilities. This theme is being developed by the Ubuntu community rather than the developers, which is why it earned the name of community, but today his official name was finally announced, and it is nothing less than Yaru.

The work to create the Yaru theme started a few months ago when Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver was released, but now it is ready to become the Ubuntu 18.10 default theme, the team did a great job with Yaru and now we can see excellent results.
Yaru welcomes the tones in the main bars, backgrounds in the side bars and color in windows, brings with it a set of stylish and shiny icons, an unobtrusive blue for text selection, refreshed notifications, deeper effects, and transparency in the GNOME Shell.
Yaru is based on the GNOME Shell and the famous Adwaita themes, which makes maintenance very easy. In the next few days the topic will reach the Ubuntu 18.10 images so that everyone can try it out and send their suggestions.
