Well, we already have one more Release Candidate than we had last year. In the development of WINE 6.0, after more than 20 bi-weekly releases, they released five RCs before the stable release, but WineHQ launched a few moments ago WINE 7.0-rc6. From what you can see in the note of this release, it was missing, because in the part of corrected errors they have mentioned no less than 47. To be able to compare, when they release a version every two weeks they usually mention more or less thirty « bug fixes”.
But the truth is that in these weeks not so many modifications are introduced. In total, in WINE 7.0-rc6 they have made 50 changes. Among them, WineHQ does not highlight any, but reading the list of "what's new", in quotes, there are many that improve the video game experience, such as Star Wars Episode 1, Racer, Saints Row: The Third, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Sniper Elite 4, Lego Stunt Rally, FIFA 11, Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft. They're not the most modern, but it's always good to be able to play them decently (tell me, I'm a big fan of PPSSPP now).
WINE 7.0 could arrive next week
The development version of Wine 7.0-rc6 is now available. this is expected be the latest release candidate before the final 7.0 release.
What's new in this version:

WINE 7.0-rc6 is the version that succeeds the rc5 y can now be downloaded from this link y this other link. They always make two links available to us, and I add the second one because WineHQ puts it in their releases, but it doesn't usually work. What does work is to do what they explain in the download page, among which we have the possibility of adding the official repository for operating systems such as Debian and Ubuntu.
If they decide that they still have to polish the software further, next week they will release WINE 7.0-rc7, but if all goes well they will release the stable version now.
