WINE 6.23 keeps making things better with PE and introduces more than 400 other changes. WINE 7.0 RC1 should be the following

Two weeks ago we commented that the next version of the software to run Windows applications on other operating systems could be the first Release Candidate of WINE 7.0. Are we wrong? Well seeing that a few hours ago has been launched WINE 6.23What is a fact is that we did not get it right. Last year 22 development versions were released before we started with the WINE 6.0 Release Candidates, so the only thing for sure is that the RCs are close.

Regarding this release, 6.23 bugs have been fixed in WINE 48, but a total of 408 changes have been made. There are still many, but this only means that they are pressing the accelerator, since soon and as we have mentioned the Release Candidates will begin to arrive, and there are no longer so many changes. What will be done every week is to polish the existing.

WINE 6.23 highlights

What has featured WineHQ as worthy of mention in WINE 6.23 is that the mount manager and CoreAudio driver have been converted to PE, support has been added for exception handling in Wow64 mode, optional support to use the distribution's PE libraries and They have made several improvements to the WineDbg user interface, in addition to the point where it mentions that several bug fixes have been added.
