Like every two weeks, after latest version for those who want the most up-to-date software y a stable, WineHQ has re-released a Staging version of its software to run Windows applications on other operating systems. More specifically, a few hours ago have thrown WINE 6.11, a new Staging version that has arrived without changes as notable as the update fifteen days ago that introduced a new installment of the Mono engine.
If we look at the list of new features highlighted by WineHQ, WINE 6.11 is not the most exciting update that is remembered. The most outstanding thing is that it supports themes for the programs, but the rest are changes that are neither hot nor cold. Yes it must be a little warm when we look a little further down, where the project mentions 33 fixes and a total of 290 changes. They are not about 400 I have ever seen, but they keep improving so that all we have to think about Windows is that we use WINE.
WINE 6.11 highlights
- Support for themes in all built-in programs.
- All remaining CRT math functions imported from Musl.
- MP3 support requires libmpg123 also on macOS.
- Support for code 720 (Arabic).
- Various bug fixes.
