And also, the version Wine 3.0 RC1 it will be out imminently in a few days. Probably on the 8th it will be ready as we have been able to know and thanks to what Alexandre Julliard has revealed according to the plans presented for Wine 3.0 in his roadmap.

Is the first release candidate (Release Candidate 1) for the new Wine 3.0 version so that we can test some of the new features that Wine will implement. But according to this developer, the project in its version 3.0 will not reach its maturity, that is, the final version, for at least 4 or 6 more weeks. Since the Wine 2.0.x version, 22 subsequent releases have been released to understand the development of Winde 3.0 with many quite interesting new features and many improvements over the previous versions. Among the most interesting novelties we have a performance improvement for video games based on the Direct3D API, as well as a multitude of graphical novelties and support improvements for Direct3D 11, improved support for DPI, improvements in support for Windows 7 applications, improvements for Direct 2D, etc. And in the near future DX12 and Vulkan !!!

And to all that we must add an intense work of correction of errors, general improvements of the existing functionalities and above all the most important thing: working with Android. We already announced from LxA that Wine 3.0 will not only be a compatibility layer for native Microsoft Windows software, but also brings the ability to install native applications from Google's Android system. That will leave a lot of play to be able to install all the apps available in the Play Store, including Microsft Office ...
