Vivaldi is a popular web browser for all that it offers. The first distinctive thing that I remember was the possibility of the upper part changing color depending on the web page that we are visiting. Later they allowed tabs to be tiled, integrated mail, calendar and RSS client and there was a time when the rhythm slowed down a bit. But today has arrived Vivaldi 6.0 with at least two novelties that attract attention.
Of the two, I will start with the one that the CEO of Vivaldi Technologies has started: button icons can be customized. For example, we can take an icon of a house and put it to return to the home screen, or change the forward and back buttons for others that we like more. I'm not going to be the one to say that you love customizing these things, but the possibility is there.
Vivaldi 6.0 arrives with interface tweaks
Continuing with the icons, the default ones have also changed. Sometimes, I got confused to find the notes, but from Vivaldi 6.0 it will be easier to find what we are looking for because the icons are more representative, in the case of the notes now a notebook and a pencil. Side panel button has moved to the top, where we also found more differences.
La address (URL) bar is now smallerIt doesn't go from part to part. On the left is where we have the side panel button, and both the address bar and the search bar, as a whole, are more centered.
The second novelty that stands out above the rest is that of the Workspaces. Until now we could already stack the tabs and separate them to have better control over them, but now we will be able to control them even more because we can send them to their corresponding workspace.
I would define these workspaces as navigation mini-sessions. If we have one or none, we won't notice anything. If we have more than one, when choosing a workspace we will only see the tabs that belong to it, and the rest will be hidden. Without a doubt, something important for those who want to have everything better organized.
The two most outstanding novelties can be combined: the workspaces offer icons by default, but these can be customized.
other developments
Among the rest of the news, it also stands out that emails can be dragged and dropped to a new folder, in fact this is the third change that is mentioned as a new function. The rest are dozens of tweaks that can be seen in the note of this release.
Vivaldi 6.0 It is now available to download from your official website.
"customize" does not exist in Spanish, say "configurar" or "personalizar" if you don't want to go straight to hell.
vivaldi for my taste by far is the best "private" browser out there
