Since man does not live on Chrome alone, Vivaldi Technologies has launched a new update to its web browser. Is about Vivaldi 2.10, and it comes with news inside and out, since an option has been added that will allow the browser to change the theme from light to dark at a certain time. Thus, one of the most popular browsers, with the permission of Chrome, Firefox or Safari, joins the fashion not only for the dark theme, but also for the automatic switch.
Perhaps the most important change introduced by Vivaldi 2.10 is a modification to the User Agent that will cause web pages to detect Vivaldi Browser as a compatible Chromium browser on many web pages that previously had problems in the browser of the former CEO of Opera. In this way, Vivaldi will be able to navigate smoothly on web pages like Google Docs or Netflix, something not possible in previous versions. And it is that not only does man live on Chrome, but the vast majority live on Chromium.
Vivaldi 2.10 already allows us to watch Netflix
According to Vivaldi Technologies, they decided to show "Vivaldi" at the User Agent just out of pride, but that pride has been hurting users because the competition has been blocking them. As of Vivaldi 2.10, this will no longer be a problem.
Among the most outstanding novelties that arrive with Vivaldi 2.10 we have:
- It is now displayed as a supported Chromium version (User Agent).
- Ability to schedule a color / theme change to automatically switch from light to dark theme.
- Keep the text in the input fields if the command has not been executed.
- Support to focus on the favorites bar.
- Pop-ups of extensions horizontally instead of vertically.
Vivaldi 2.10 is now available for all supported systems. It is a major update with many new features that we can see in the release note of this version. For existing users, the new version will appear as an update, either from the same browser or from the software center.
Vivaldi is based on Chromium, so with differences, but it is very similar to Chrome. THE only truly real alternative is Firefox.
