Ultimate General: Civil War and Killing Floor 2 hit the Linux world

The title and the quality of these for GNU / Linux continues to grow. Valve's store, Steam, continues to increase its list of video games compatible with GNU / Linux and SteamOS which is already close to that of Mac OS, having grown exponentially in recent years. That's good, it means that Linux-based systems on the desktop are getting respected and are attracting the attention of more and more game developers. This also has an effect on gamers, who will be more attracted to the Linux world that until a few years ago was almost forgotten ...

Today we bring you two new news about two titles, one of them is Killing Floor 2, of which you can see a small trailer in the header video. This first news is not so good, since a spokesperson for the developers have announced on the Valve site that the title has been postponed for the moment for Linux. At least it is not a cancellation, but it is not that it is pleasant to listen to. The reason is that they are waiting for someone to help them complete it. Not much more info yet, but hopefully if Tripwrie is contacted by a developer or several, the game will arrive soon ...

The other news is about the video game Ultimate Generals: Civil War. After one of sand, there comes one of lime, which there are, and many, normally we filter new titles and news about the world of digital entertainment for not making this blog one topic, but there are blogs dedicated to the world of video games for Linux that give this kind of daily news. And if you are a regular reader of LxA, you will see that from time to time we are putting news about the world of video games, a very powerful industry that moves more money than the music and film industry.

Well, going back to the topic that interests us, this other strategy and tactics video game will come to Linux. With a simple and direct message from the developers: "We will offer the Linux version later" they let us see that they are interested in publishing this title also for the penguin platform. Recall that Ultimate General: Gettysburg also published it compatible for Linux a while ago, now we just have to wait for the same to be done with this one that can also be found on Steam and other media.

Killing floor 2 is a shame, I find it strange that it came out for windows, and not like its predecessor (which I have played a lot) for Linux. I hope they solve the problem because it is a good game.
