They Are Billions: strategy video game, steampunk and zombie apocalypse

They are billions is a strategy video game that is very likely to be released for Linux as well. The video game is based on a story of a post apocalyptic panorama and in which high quality strategy is mixed, with steampunk and zombies, in which you will have to avoid contagion to your lineage, ensuring their sustainability, security and create an army large enough. A quite passionate cocktail that brings us the Sevillian studio Numantian Games, the same creators of the video game Lords of Xulima.

If you manage well the resources of your colony (gasoline, stone, metal and wood, among others), and you manage to build all the necessary buildings and their improvements, in addition to generating enough energy to supply your camp and raise protections and armies to defend to your zombie population… Then perhaps you will escape from the clutches of these undead that plague the earth with billions of them wandering throughout the territory and capable of smelling and hearing their victims. They Are Billions will be released this month in Early Access, but the full release is planned for next year, so we have to wait a bit. The good news is that one of its developers has something to say to the entire community of gamers who use Linux, and that is that it is based on the same engine as its previous title, Lords of Xulima, and it is available for Linux. The developer assures that although it is still early and there is no Linux version available, they will try to release a version for the penguin in 2018 (at the same time as the rest or a little later).

This is huge news not only because the studios are national and it is always good to see that the talent in our country overflows, but because the title promises a lot. Both the strategy they propose and the configuration and everything we have known so far about the video game looks pretty good and we just have to wait for that launch to be completed in a few months.
