Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth for Linux in August

Home video game The pillars of the earth

Ken Follett's famous book, The Pillars of the Earth, will now also have an adaptation in the world of video games with The Pillars of the Earth that we can enjoy from the famous Valve Steam store. The video game, which is an adaptation of the literary work, will be released on August 15 thanks to the Daedalic Entertainment development studio and will have support from day one for Linux, undoubtedly huge news for Linux users who want to play this title.

I honestly haven't read myself bookbut I've heard a lot about him. So, with the arrival of this new video game, surely a new opportunity opens up for those who have not read it and surely encourages more than one to do so. Continuing with the news, to say that it seems that it will be a unique launch on Valve's Steam, so it will not be found on other competing platforms like other titles that we see also appear on GOG. This does not seem to be the case ...

The developers have taken care to give a statement announcing the arrival of the game in which you could read: «Building on Ken Follett's best-seller 'The Pillars of the Earth', we now rediscover the history of the town of Kingsbridge in a whole new interactive way. Play as Jack, Aliena, and Philip, and change the events of the book through exploration, decision-making, and dialogue. This interactive novel will be released in three books with 7 chapters each, which will be automatically added to the Steam library«.

That is the most important fragment of the press release, although it continued to explain about the project ... However, there are already detractors and fans of this game as soon as the arrival is known, as I have seen in some forums and comments. It seems that book fans are open to trying the new digital adventure. Honestly, I will not be one of those who try it, since not having read the books does not attract me especially, but hey, surely many of you are waiting for it.
