SteamOS 3.2 beta improves fan control and refresh rate, this is experimental

Steam OS 3.2

In early March, Valve released the v3.0 of your operating system. Among the most outstanding novelties we had that, in addition to half-rising from its ashes, it became based on Arch Linux. It rose from the ashes because development was pretty much at a standstill, until they decided to launch their own console and had to make major changes. From today it is available Steam OS 3.2 beta, a test version that will introduce interesting new features for an operating system designed mainly for gaming.

Two of these novelties would stand out: one would be the fan control, something that I think is very necessary, since there will be demanding titles that will make the console heat up more than expected; the second is an experimental refresh rate. The list of news They have published on the steamcommunity website, and it is what you have next.

SteamOS 3.2 Highlights

  • An OS controlled fan curve has been added to improve the experience in low usage scenarios and adjust fan response to different scenarios and temperatures.
