We come finally to the second sin of our list: Anger We are using it as an excuse to cKnow more free and open source software programs. There doesn't seem to be any software in the repositories to download the rage, unless the insufferable GNOME Software Center has been designed specifically for that.
What we do have is programs that we can use to stream it, either to download it to the recipients or redirect it to other destinations.
Software to download anger
Clients for social networks
Social media is a good place to vent our anger. These are some clients available in the repositories. Since Twitter is the one with the most accessible APIs, it has a greater availability of compatible applications.
cowbird
This fork of another client for Twitter called Corebird it is designed with use with the GNOME desktop in mind. Corebird didn't adapt to Twitter's policy and application interface changes so it no longer works.
In the case of the application we are commenting on, in addition to working with the new APIs, it includes corrections and modifications. Some functions are:
- Preview images and videos online.
- Creation of lists and favorites.
- Tweet filtering.
- Full text search.
- Multi-account support.
What cannot be done (due to Twitter's own limitations) is the real-time update of:
- Tweets marked as unfavorites.
- Followed and unfollowed users.
- Blocked and unblocked users.
- Mute or not mute.
- Delete private messages.
Installing Cowbird
TwitterVim
This is not a normal client but a plugin for the Vim text editor. Vim is very configurable making text creation and modification more efficient. We can get it on the main Linux and MacOS distributions.
Regarding TwittVim is a Vim plugin that allows you to post and view tweets.
Among other things, it allows access to:
- Timelines of friends, users, direct messages, mentions and favorites.
- Search on Twitter.
- Reply and retweet.
- Search using Hashtags.
- Open links in a browser.
- Viewing user profiles.
- Trend visualization.
- Put filters on the timeline.
- List management.

oysttyer
Another fork for our list. In this case of TTYtter and, the reasons are the same. The change of Twitter APIs.
Its main features are:
- Written in Perl.
- Fully text-based interface.
- Compatible with all Linux desktops.
- It can be used with Bash script and cron jobs to schedule updates.
- Show notifications.
- Support for retweets and lists.
Games
Games are a good way to vent anger if we can't do it about those who caused it. These are some good titles to do it.
MARS – a ridiculous shooter
If we are angry, what better way to shoot some Martians. The great thing about this title is that you can play with another player so we can even virtually use a weapon against the object of our anger without consequence.
It is a two-dimensional game with very good graphics and realistic physical recreation in which we have to protect the planet from the attack of our bellicose felines.

Is an arena-style first-person shooter with sharp movements and a wide range of weapons. We have 9 main weapons and 16 full weapons in your arsenal to unleash our anger.
Xonotic has a huge variety of game modes, both those that are usual for this type of titles and other originals. To help us, the game offers more than 25 official maps and others offered by the community, as well as allowing us to import those from Nexuis and Quake 3
