SafeEyes: an ally app for the health of your eyes

safeeyes app (indicator)

We have already talked on several occasions about the famous f.lux application to protect our vision when we spend many hours in front of the screen, playing with the lighting and the blue tones that seem to have the most harmful wavelength for our sight, and they even alter our nervous system making it difficult to sleep if we use a device with a screen before going to sleep.

But this app is not the only one that serves to help our health when we work with computer equipment, there is also another that is the one that we present to you this time. Is named safeeyes and it works on Linux, protecting our eyes, something that our eyesight will thank us for if you spend many hours in front of a screen as I have said, or else we will prematurely begin to have a deterioration typical of older people.

The operation of this app is very different from f.lux and others like it that exist for PC or mobile devices. In fact SafeEyes is complementary to f.lux and others and we can use them all simultaneously to offer better protection. Why do I say this? Simple, SafeEyes does not regulate display lighting based on time cycles or location, room lighting, or filters out certain more harmful tones.

Instead, SafeEyes simply it just reminds you that you need to rest after a certain period of time working in front of the monitor. Therefore, what is thus reduced is the time of exposure to harmful light and above all avoids visual fatigue, which we will surely have suffered when we spend many hours and notice how we see something blurred or it is more difficult for us to focus.
