La SARS-CoV-2 crisis has highlighted the needs of many companies and organizations for digital transformation. A company with a greater degree of digitization would not suffer as much in this type of crisis, and would allow a greater degree of flexibility when teleworking and faster to adapt to new situations. That's why Red Hat is helping businesses and the community through these tough times.
Faced with this new reality, Red Hat has reinforced some aid, as expressed by Paul Cormier, the president and CEO of the company of the red hat: «We had considered making the Red Hat Training program more flexible, offering an extension for all Red Hat Certifications that have an end date between March 17 and September 30, 2020, participating in the virtual hackathon The Resiliency Challenge organized by the University of Boston to promote innovation among its students together with technology experts to face the situation that the educational community is experiencing during the pandemic, the expansion of access to automation, the good practices that we have been learning from our colleagues who are teleworking and others.»
For that, have implemented a series of measures which I summarize here:
- 50% discount on TAM services (Technical Account Managers) for new Red Hat customers.
- Extension of the life cycle of a part of the products Red Hat portfolio. This gives customers more flexibility and options to plan their IT initiatives.
- Free training for those employees who have suffered an ERTE and those who are unemployed. That means training on containers, Kubernetes, cloud, Ansible, systems administration certifications, etc.
- Free virtual training courses for all. With more than 500 thousand courses training of a multitude of subjects.
