Red Hat introduced new cloud managed services

Red Hat recently unveiled a new set of cloud services thereby broadening customers' choice for open hybrid cloud computing, reducing complexity and maximizing IT investments.

With these new services its portfolio expands its open hybrid cloud technologies with new managed cloud services, Red Hat OpenShift API Management, Red Hat OpenShift Streams for Apache Kafka, and Red Hat OpenShift Data Science are designed to provide a fully managed and streamlined user experience for organizations creating, deploying, managing, and scaling cloud-native applications in hybrid environments.

These services are tightly integrated with Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated and help alleviate the operational complexities of highly complex modern IT environments without sacrificing developer productivity by providing a common set of capabilities across the breadth of the open and multi-cloud hybrid cloud.

The new services include:

Red Hat OpenShift Streams for Apache Kafka, designed to make it easy to create, discover, and connect to real-time data streams, regardless of your location.

Based on the Apache Kafka open source project, Red Hat OpenShift Streams for Apache Kafka makes it easy for development teams to integrate streaming data into their applications. When designing hybrid cloud applications, data flows are the backbone of event capture, communication, and processing for modern, distributed application architectures.

Real-time data is an essential part of how hybrid cloud applications work, providing more immediate digital experiences, regardless of where the service is delivered. As a fully managed and hosted Kafka service, Red Hat OpenShift Streams for Apache Kafka allows developers to focus on building better applications faster.

Red Hat OpenShift Data Science to provide organizations with a way to develop, train, and test machine learning (ML) models faster and export them in a container-ready format.

It is based on the Open Data Hub project open source and helps accelerate machine learning model development, training, and testing without the associated infrastructure requirements. Red Hat OpenShift Data Science implements common data science tools as the foundation of an AI-as-a-Service platform integrated with cloud services from select partners, including ISV solutions from Red Hat Marketplace.

Red Hat OpenShift API Management that accelerates the time to value and reduces the operational cost of delivering API-based applications and microservices. Provides comprehensive application programming interface (API) lifecycle management for Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated and Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS.

Combining Managed Operations with Native OpenShift Integration enables companies to focus on innovation and development in creating, managing and expanding applications API-centric and microservices-based rather than infrastructure-based. Red Hat OpenShift API Management also enables customers to create their own API management program, with capabilities to control access, monitor usage, share common APIs, and develop their application overview through a pipeline.

These new managed cloud services build on the existing Red Hat OpenShift portfolio, which provides self-managed and fully managed Kubernetes across major public clouds.

Esto enables Red Hat customers and partners to build an open hybrid cloud strategy based on the Kubernetes enterprise platformregardless of local infrastructure assets or operational personnel. Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated, an application development platform fully managed by Red Hat and hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud, includes the management and integration of technology components of the world's leading enterprise Linux platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and services like networking,

In addition to OpenShift Dedicated, Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud, Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS, and Microsoft Azure Red Hat OpenShift are available as jointly supported and managed OpenShift services, accessible as cloud-native console offerings on the respective cloud providers.
