This new function that we can find in this new version of Recalbox 18.06.27 It will allow us to enjoy the games of various retro titles online against another player who also has this function.
Basically what allows us to do this new function is the ability to play online games and get achievements from some of the titles supported by this function, as it were the current video game consoles.
net play not only can it be enjoyed by Recalbox users 18.06.27 if not what also those that have the updated version of Retroarch which also makes use of this function.
This NetPlay function can be activated from "Menu> Game Settings> Netplay Settings", in which we can assign a username, the port you will use to connect.
Also included in the interface is the possibility of being able to obtain the following information when being connected, in which we will be able to know if any of the retro game titles that we have are compatible or not for the online game.
The information we can obtain is:
- Username (with a small icon if it is a game launched from Recalbox)
- Hash match (if you have the same ROM with the same hash in your games)
- file match
- Connection latency and other information
In these results the information will be shown if it is possible to enter or create an online game based on the following colors:
- Green: you have the good ROM with good hashing, the kernel is fine, chances are high that it will work
- Blue: hash does not match (but some ROMS have no hash, for example arcade ROMS), but the file is on your system and the kernel is fine so it could be played online.
- Red - no file found, unauthorized system, no central match - no chance for it to work (game will not launch).
About the new version of Recalbox 18.06.27
Between the other features and bug fixes that we can highlight in this new version of Recalbox 18.06.27 we find the correction of the full screen mode when using the N64 emulator mupen64plus.
By improving this the problem that the emulator had with some screen resolutions is eliminated, since previously the screen resolution had to be forced to avoid audio errors.
But with this fix, full screen mode is now possible.

And about customization added a new EASports intro to the system, as well as the splash screen duration option in recalbox.conf in which we can configure the time to play the splash videos.
