The new Raspberry Pi 4 Model B has a much more powerful hardware for € 35. In it, you can run a large number of operating systems or distributions with which to work according to your needs and carry out numerous projects thanks to the add-ons on the market and its 40 GPIOs. If you want to know in depth its hardware and technical characteristics are:

  • Broadcom BCM2711 SoC, but although normally these chips also integrate the RAM, although in this case it is not like that. What it does include is a more powerful GPU supporting OpenGL ES 3.0, multimedia support H.265 for 4K 60 FPS, H.264 for 1080p60 and 1080p30 fps. The CPU is now a quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 and 1.5 Ghz.

    I used Raspbian on the Pi 3b, which is the most optimized system, and it was slow as a tortoise as 1GB of RAM was the main bottleneck.

    With the rise of Ram it just serves as a mini pc with Linux.
