Puppy Linux 9.5 arrives to extend the life of your old PC ... if it is 64bits

PuppyLinux 9.5

It's been a few months, or rather years, that 32-bit computers have been abandoned. First were the major distributions, but now it is difficult to find an operating system that is not only available for 64-bit computers. The last to arrive, although it was already like that in past versions, has been PuppyLinux 9.5, also known as Fossapup64. Among the novelties it includes, its developers assure that it is very fast and very versatile.

As we read in the release noteAlthough we could also deduce it from its code name, Puppu Linux 9.5 is based on Ubuntu 20.04, the operating system that Canonical released in April 2020. Like the Focal Fossa on which it is based, Fossapup64 comes with Linux 5.4 as a nucleus, among other new features that we detail after the cut.

A distro for old PCs only 64-bit, absurd.
