Project Zomboid: Roadmap for 2022 and beyond

Project Zomboid

Project Zomboid is a promising zombie-themed video game which has been in Early Access for many years. But it has finally arrived, and it has made it through the big door, already adding several tens of thousands of players. But that's not all, after the release of the latest version (Build 41), the developers have set a very ambitious roadmap, which begins as early as 2022.

Leaving the delay behind, Project Zomboid now wants to surprise users by adding many NPC news. In order to develop everything that is yet to come, they have been divided into several teams to be able to be working on several things simultaneously. One of the teams created will be in charge of precisely those NPC news.

NPC has been something that many players have missed the most, and one of the things that most were requested from the developer. That is why they have started to work. In addition, they have also announced that another team will be exclusively in charge of the development of the builds, currently working on the future Build 42 from Project Zomboid. That way, they'll speed up the process and launch it as soon as they can.

It seems that the NPCs will take a little longer to arrive. But Build 42 will already be quite an impressive change. It is planned that in that version there will be a huge expanding the tech tree. This will significantly enhance the potential for creation, allowing players to create with endless possibilities.

Of course, other details will not be neglected either, such as the correction of some errors that could be in previous releases, optimizations to improve the fluidity and experience of the video game, etc. Will they meet the roadmap on time this time?
