Project LiveSlak: Run Live Images from Slackare

El Project LiveSlakIn case you don't know it, it is a project with which you can run current GNU / Linux Slackware distribution images in Live mode with or without persistence and even install them if you feel like it. If you are interested, you can access the website for download. And this project has a lot to do with Eric Hameleers, that if you are a faithful follower of the world of Linux, surely you know, since he has an interesting blog of his own dedicated to Slackware.

But he also participates in important projects to offer pre-compiled packages for this distro, Ktown repository of updated KDE4 and Plasma packages, and his project Slackware Live based on its own LiveSlak scripts to give them a personal touch and offer users the opportunity to run Slackware without having to install it on our computer and thus get an idea of what the new version of Slackware will be like in Live mode.

You already know that on June 25, 2018 a series of Slackware images were released, Live ISOs for 32-bit and 64-bit, with Xfce and KDE4 desktop environments for both architectures, although you will also find other images with MATE, Plasma 5 that are only available for 64-bit. The Cinnamon version that was initially there seems to have been left behind ... But these systems can not only be used in Live mode.

It is more interesting if we know that they can be installed on our equipment to offer us a full experience using scripts like iso2usb.sh and if you have a previous image it will not install completely, it will only update the packages and kernel, but it will not modify any configuration that we have previously made. And to update only the kernel you can use the upslak.sh script. You can run both from the terminal and you will find them in the link that I left you in the first paragraph ...
