Unlike many Linux users, I am a fan of Snap packages. That is why every so often I make a compilation of the applications that I liked the most.

It is an application focused on productivity that includes everything we may need. A privacy-focused to-do list, a notebook, a habit and mood tracker, and a pomodoro timer.

- Automatic prioritization.
- Track progress.
- Schedule recurring tasks.

capman
I am a fan of classic games with few screens and not very elaborate graphics and, without a doubt, Kapman fulfills both characteristics. As his name indicates it is a clone of Pacman for the KDE desktop.
For centennials, let's clarify that the goal of the game is to run through the maze to eat all the pills without getting caught by a ghost. Upon eating an energizer, Kapman gains the ability to eat ghosts for a few seconds. When a stage is cleared of pills and energizers, the player moves to the next stage with a slightly increased game speed.

Penguin Subtitle Player
Surely it has happened to you that you want to watch a video only available online, but that does not have subtitles. If you can get them elsewhere, this program is what you are looking for.
It is a subtitle player that consists of a translucent window that always remains in the foreground so that the subtitles can be displayed on top of the video without blocking anything.
With Penguin Subtitle Player, just open your favorite online streaming site, load the subtitle file into the player, and enjoy. Work with .srt, .ssa, .ass, .vtt formats.

neo chat
Another tool from the KDE project. It is a client for matrix, the decentralized communication protocol It allows us to send text messages, videos and audio files.
Matrix is a decentralized communication protocol that returns control to the user. NeoChat currently implements much of the protocol with the exception of encrypted chats and video chat.
NeoChat has mobile versions in addition to the desktop one.

sudo snap install neochat
live for speed
A Windows game that runs under Wine.
It is a realistic racing simulator in which you have to do everything. Since the forces that affect the movement of the car are simulated individually at each wheel. the use of a steering wheel and pedals is recommended to provide much more precision. The force feedback sent to the flywheel is calculated directly from the forces, with no programmed effects.
You can race alone, against the clock or against scheduled drivers. There is also a multiplayer mode. Just click on “Server List”, select a server and join instantly.
