Pop! _OS 21.10

Canonical releases two versions of its operating system a year, one in April and one in October. After those releases, there are projects that release their revision based on the latest Ubuntu, something they will do soon Linux Mint and did this afternoon System76. A few moments ago it has become official the launch of Pop! _OS 21.10, and, following the launch this summer that introduced the Cosmic graphical environment, there have been major improvements again.

Among the novelties that have arrived with Pop! _OS 21.10 highlights its new application library. By clicking on «Activities» or the dock icon, and also with the META key (Windows), we will now see something like what the header image shows. Applications are sorted alphabetically automatically, making it easy to find the software we are looking for. If we don't want to scroll to find the application, we can always search for it by typing its name.

Other new features of Pop! _OS 21.10

The kernel used by Pop! _OS 21.10 is Linux 5.15.5, going up from Linux 5.11 that used the previous version. Also related to hardware, support has been included for the latest NVIDIA driver. On the other hand, the option to restore the operating system has been improved and the latest updates to GNOME, the desktop on which it is based, have been added.

    The news is fantastic, Pop is an excellent distro, as well as elegant. But please correct the misspelling of the title… "NEW" is with "V".
