Play PSP games on Linux


If you have video games of the Sony PlayStation Portable that you like and would like to use them from your Linux distribution, you can do it with an emulator. You already know that there are several of these projects to implement emulators for different devices or equipment, especially for old ones and to recover classic video games. One of these emulators is called PPSSPP, and you can install it on your distro in a simple way like any other app. For example, you can find it in Synaptic by searching for PPSSPP Emulator and a list of related packages will appear. After installation, we will have the PPSSPP app ready to run, and once launched we can see its graphical interface. If we click on the Homebrew and Demos tab that we find at the top, we will access another emulator window, and if we press the button Download, you can download the video games you need. It only takes a simple click on the name of the video game you want to have and on the Install button that will appear.

We can also access the emulator's configuration menu from Settings, to modify some parameters such as graphics, audio, controls, network, etc. This is optional, although you should optimize them according to your particular case.
