Pinebook Pro, a Linux laptop for less than $ 200

More and more companies are realizing the potential of Linux to be the default operating system for their devices and the benefits that come from adopting free software.

On the other hand, companies like PINE64 have been there since the beginning, committed to Linux and its portfolio of devices proves it with a good number of products that you can buy at a very good price.

Recently, the company announced a new portable super cheap hitting shelves in August.

The new pine book Pro is a $ 199 laptop that comes with features that are sufficient for the average user but that also they may surprise an advanced user.

First of all, the pine book Pro comes with a 1.8GHz ARM dual-core processor Cortex A72 and four nuclei 1.4GHz ARM Cortex A53 along with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM.

This is not the typical configuration you would expect from a laptop, but it is sufficient to do basic tasks such as surfing the internet or sending emails.

Additionally, in terms of hardware, the pine book Pro comes with 64GB eMMC 5.0 storage and a Mali T-860 processor with standard Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and Wi-Fi.

In terms of connectivity, this new laptop comes with a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 type A port, the type C port can be used for charging or connecting screens. Other things include a headphone port, a MicroSD input, a built-in microphone, and a camera front of 2 megapixels.

The laptop brings a 14-inch LCD screen with 1920 × 1080 resolution, which will work for tasks basic, like the rest of the components.

The good news is that pine book Pro is a portable device, that is, it only weighs 1.26 kilos, so it is easy to take it with you everywhere. The 10,000 mAh battery gives the portable  but also 10 hours of life no need to charge.

The Pinebook Pro is priced at $ 199 and will arrive next month at the stores selected by the company and from its page web site.

I wonder if the ram memory can be increased, in which case it would be a very good option not only for beginner users ...
