Panic Zombie! Source: great review with Linux support

Panic zombie source

Zombie Panic! source It has been in beta for quite some time, but the development team behind this video game title has moved on and is almost ready to roll out a big revision with Linux support in the stable version, so that everyone can enjoy it.

This video game is a first person shooter, or FPS. But it also mixes cooperative play and zombie survival. Also, Zombie Panic! Source is free, so it won't cost you a penny to try it. You also know that you can get it from the Valve platform, the steam store.

The project is moving slowly, but moving forward, which is good news. The zombie horror title appeared in 2007, with 2008 being the date it arrived on Steam. Plans to bring it to Linux would begin in 2018, and although it has taken time, version 3.1 Beta has lasted longer than initially planned, but it will be worth the wait ...

Could already be released between October 8 and 15 this year, so there is little left for it. You should keep an eye out for Steam. In addition, there will not only be support for Linux, there are also some changes or improvements such as:

  • Player Hitboxes improvements with a massive update.
  • Graphics improvements.
  • Glow among zombie teammates to enhance friendly play.
  • New options in the game.
  • Steam Workshop improvements, etc.

By the way, in case you didn't know, I'll tell you that Zombie Panic! Source is a modification of Half-Life 2, a mod based on Valve's Source graphics engine, like so many other titles that have taken that same path. For example, you will find other titles derived from Half Life. Some of those modifications are quite good, and allow to stretch the graphics engine beyond the content of the original titles.

If you want to know more about these mods, I recommend this database...
