This is a big milestone for Monado OpenXR runtime, the famous open source project and the first runtime of its kind for GNU / Linux. The reason for this milestone is that now, thanks to Collabora's efforts, it has been announced that it has passed the compliance tests.
Lately Collabora is very active in the open source world, with big projects like the ones you have on your hands in collaboration with Valve engineers for things like Steam Linux Runtime Container, along with what they are doing also in the Linux kernel for the whole support issue, to what to include Monado.
As reported from Collabora, Monado is the first OpenXR runtime for GNU / Linux, and its goal is to implement an open source XR ecosystem to provide the building blocks on which other device developers can build on to support GNU / Linux platforms.
With that said, the news is that Monado now conforms to the test suite provided by The Khronos Group for OpenGL and Vulkan. However, you have to be patient, since it is not an official implementation as it has not passed the complete process. The reason is that they are currently testing internally until it is fully ready.
