OpenEXPO Europe brings us the 3rd Edition of the Open Awards

The Open Awards are the most important awards in the open technologies sector and now comes in its III Edition thanks to OpenEXPO Europe. The opening of the Registration process It began in March and will now close on April 11 to stop accepting applications for these open-source and free software awards. The objective will be to recognize and reward the best projects and initiatives in this sector, in addition to helping to promote the community and the public notoriety of the companies and entities behind them.

In this III Edition of the Open Awards will be presented 12 categories in which all the candidatures that have been presented will be included, giving visibility and national and international recognition. As I have said, the registration period closes on the 11th and the popular voting begins on April 18 to choose the favorite projects. And the final result, as usual, we will see at the OpenExpo Europe 2018 fair that will be held in Madrid between June 6 and 7, 2018.

There will be joined more than 5000 personalities of the sector FLOSS and Open World Economy with the support of Ydral and Urban Event Marketing that this year will act as sponsors. In addition, among the VIP participations that have been confirmed are Microsoft, Red Hat, Arsys, OVH, Google Cloud or Ackstorm, as well as speakers from different entities such as Nationale Nederlanden, Telefónica, Ferrovial, Benetton, Grupo Pascual, Repsol, Booking.com , IE Business School, Air FRance-KLM, The Apache Software Foundation, Nokia and Cabify.

Regarding the awards, we already know that there will be 12 different subcategories and they will be structured in 3 main categories: Professional, Social and Revelation.
