Feral Interactive does it again, it brings a super title from the world of video games to Linux and it does it by carrying the fantastic Formula 1 simulator from Code Masters, the F1 2017. So from now on we can enjoy the best F1 video game also on GNU / Linux and this is the first time that has happened. So from LxA, I would like to thank Feral who is doing a pretty good and intense job to keep carrying great video games so that everyone in Linux can enjoy them.
You already know that F1 2017 is the official game of this sport and since on november 2 you can buy it from the store Steam and also from the own Feral Store. The price will be € 54,99 well deserved for what this fantastic game includes. In addition to having worked incredibly on the graphics that are quite well done, they have done a fantastic job in terms of AI and the sensations of driving a real car, so more than a racing video game it is almost a simulator.
In addition, interesting content that was not available in previous releases has been included, such as classic F1 cars among which are legendary cars from Renault, Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull, and Williams that won championships in the past. Therefore, you will not only be able to drive the cars of this season, but also drive these historical gems, both against the game's own AI and also against other players thanks to its improved multiplayer mode.
They have also been included modes like the Championship and new types of game where you will have to show your driving skills. Alternative tracks are also included in addition to the 20 official circuits of the current championship, which is quite nice to change a bit. Without a doubt, a whole conglomerate of attractions for fans of motorsport and F1 in particular ...

The truth is that from my point of view the game of the year in Linux. In addition, the game will work with the Vulkan API as standard. I don't know if it can be played in OpenGL for comparison, but the use of the former is good news. Let's see if with it they can squeeze the performance of the game a little more.
Step by step, but without pause. We already have another great title for Linux.
