Fedora 26 first beta version now available

Fedora 26 Beta Official Image

It has recently been made available to all Fedora 26 Beta ISO images and the images related to Fedora spins. This is the first beta version of the next big version of Fedora.

The interesting thing about this version is not being able to use it but the know the versions and news of the version before its launch. Something that we have been able to know in this case and it seems that more than one will be looking forward to the month of July, the month in which the arrival of Fedora 26 is scheduled.

Fedora 26 beta can now be downloaded for our computers

One of the first changes that we see in Fedora 26 is the change of the list of spins or official flavors of Fedora. Fedora Atomic will replace Fedora Cloud Base, at least in important aspects such as containers and management of cloud functions; Fedora LXQT Spin will be a new spin of Fedora with the LXQT desktop and Python Classroom Lab will be another special version along with Sugar which is geared towards teaching newbies the Python programming language.

Within Fedora 26 we will find a new installer, updated and improved partitioning function. The latest kernel as well as Gnome version 3.24 will accompany this major release. The GCC compiler will also come in its latest version as well as other important elements such as desktops, file managers, web browsers, etc ...

Fedora 26 Beta is a development release, a version that is not recommended to use as the main operating system, however we can use it in a virtual machine to know and test this new version. In this case, we can get the installation image from this link. And if we use Fedora and we want to have the latest version, we will have to wait until July when this version based on RedHat will arrive.
