Studio Shiro has announced Northgard, a strategy game based on the Viking era and exploration. At the moment they are focusing on Windows and Mac, but not Linux. But that could change, since they are not doing it at the moment, but they are thinking about it. The studios that develop this game are "newbies" when it comes to strategy games, but it looks like it will be a good game. As they have commented, they like this theme and have decided to do it. The game will allow you to play on maps to build on viking settlements to build what is necessary and discover the hostile people you will face. For everything to go properly, you will have to know how to manage resources well, expand your borders and achieve victories in battles.
Without a doubt, seeing titles for Linux is a great joy, and not only because of being able to play them natively without depending on Wine and other platforms, but also because having more titles means more interest in Linux and more users willing come. In fact they have made a statement in which they say: «Considering the difficulty of building and deploying the game for different operating systems, we are focusing on Windows and Mac for now. Will add Linux support later. Sorry for them, we are fans of open source, but we have more to prioritize«.
